Swiftkay ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Swiftkay platform, which connects customers with professional cleaners for home, Airbnb, and office cleaning services in Florida. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and how you can exercise your rights.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account data: When you sign up via our authentication provider (Clerk), we receive your email address and any profile information you supply.
- Booking data: Service address, phone number, preferred date and time, and the number of cleaning hours selected.
- Payment data: We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers; Stripe handles and encrypts all payment details under PCI-DSS standards.
- Cleaner applications: If you apply to become a cleaner, we collect your name, contact details, work experience, and any documents you submit.
- Communications: Any messages or support inquiries you send us.
Information collected automatically:
- Log and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps.
- Cookies and local storage: We use cookies for authentication sessions and localStorage for certain in-app state (such as promo availability). No advertising trackers are set by default.
- Device data: Browser version, operating system, and viewport size for UI optimization.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
- To process bookings, schedule cleaners, and fulfill the cleaning services you request.
- To process payments and send receipts through Stripe.
- To send service confirmations, reminders, and post-job follow-up communications via email or SMS.
- To share your service address and booking window with the assigned cleaner so they can fulfill the job.
- To respond to support requests and resolve disputes.
- To improve our platform, detect fraud, and maintain security.
- To comply with applicable law and legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Assigned cleaners: The cleaner assigned to your booking receives your service address, first name, phone number, and scheduled time โ only the information needed to complete the job.

- Hosting and infrastructure: Our platform is hosted on services including Vercel and Neon. These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights and safety of Swiftkay, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@swiftkay.com. Note that certain records (e.g., completed transaction records) may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with financial and tax law.
5. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Portability: Request that we provide your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Opt-out of marketing: Unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the link in those emails.

6. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication sessions (managed by Clerk) and functional localStorage for promo state. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or pixel trackers. If we add analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this policy and provide appropriate notice.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption, access controls, and secure third-party processors. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where required, notify you by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of Swiftkay after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
